HEY TEAMMATES:
Congrats to all who raced:
Cat. 5:Micheal Hocklander, 6th, Jay Hampton, Dale, Nelson, Trevor Heim.
Cat: 4: Greg Adams, Aaron Tabor, it appears we have some people who have upgraded or changed catagories.
Maters 35+: Doug LaMott, 1st, Charles Stearns, 2nd, Nick Smith 10th, Stu Bryson, Matt McDonagh, Marty Lingren, Tom Witzke.
A strange day of racing, first the race was post poned 1 hour due to snow, thecourse was changed due to snow. A 38 miler. The Masters B: Worked together well, The key part of the race Stu kept the pace high to keep a break away from happening, he sacraficed himself, thanks Stu, at the base of the last hill before the finish Nick tried a break away, one racer tried chasing him down, this allowed me to bridge up with Charles in tow as a backup, with 1 K to go I took off with everthing I had and Charles was watching my back, if I faultered then he would take over for the win. Thanks Charles for allowing me to win.
We missed a large number of teammates today, hope to see you at Chicken Dinner, a super fun course.
A few observations: We need more Tuesday night workouts, The quick sprints/ 30 seconds all out and the ability to recover. I'll be frank, many of us need more pack riding experience, more practice on wind positioning of yourself to conserve your energy for when you need it. We have these type of practices every week and weekends, please try to make a few of them. This week we will be working out Tuesday at 5:30 and Wed or Thursday on some crit./ cornering training.
Thanks for racing:
